Re-opening of Logo Competition

The judge panel of the logo competition has recommended to re-open the logo contest to make it more competitive. This time it will be open to anyone (Even students not doing STAT), and will be given priority to those who can explain the meaning behind their logo. All of these are preferences - so go ahead with designing your idea!!!

Following are more guidelines,

1.    Statistics society of University of Sri Jayewardenepura conducts a logo competition to select a logo for the society. Any student can participate and can submit any amount of entries

2.    Awards – The 3 best logos will be given valuable certificates and recognition at the STAT student gathering

3.    Jurors – The advisory board of STAT society lead by the head of the dept. of statistics and computer science will have the final decision.

4.    Work
-    the logo can be text-based or other graphic formats.
-    it must be easily recognizable and text should be easy to read.
-    the design must be able to be printed in -black and white- and as well as in full colour (if applicable).
-    The size must be adjustable from very small to large. It must be possible to use it on screen : internet, video and banners ; on paper : in newspaper print, letterhead, cards, advertisements, posters; and on textile.etc

5.    Entries – Send all your entries to usjpstatsoc@gmail.com or handover a soft copy to the STAT demonstrators room before 20th of APRIL 2010
